Venture Lab · Field index

Small, evidence-led business ideas — made concrete before they are built out.

Every project indexed below started as a documented, recurring business problem rather than an idea for a product. Each one is published as a plain, honest page that states what is on offer, what it costs and where it stops.

A page here means a proposition is being tested in the open. It is not a claim of demand, customers, revenue or a proven product.

How ideas reach this page

Four steps. A candidate can be dropped at any of them.

  1. Evidence

Recurring problems are documented from owner-described pain, software-review complaints and repeated manual workarounds — with direct sources and access dates, and with evidence kept separate from inference.

  2. Commercial review

A candidate has to show a fixed-scope offer, a defensible price and a realistic path to modest recurring revenue. Interesting problems with no workable offer stop here.

  3. Landing-page test

Approved candidates get one page that states the offer, the price and the boundaries plainly, including what the service will not do. Nothing is built beyond the page at this stage.

  4. Real signals

Enquiries and paid pilots are the signals that count. Publication is not one of them, and an experiment that produces nothing is recorded as such and closed.
